The Taylorsville Tartars have a rich football history, including the MHSAA's longest active playoff streak, with 28 consecutive playoff appearances. Beginning in 1990, the streak spans six head coaches and includes six 2A State Championships (1991, 1994, 1995, 1998, 2002, and 2017).
New Head Coach Mitch Evans and the Tartars will look to extend the streak in 2018, and hopefully add to the State Championship trophy collection.
